Early childhood development is the emotional, physical and social development of young children. Healthy childhood development from 0-5 years old is crucial.
Experiences that happen early in life affect how the brain develops and therefore have an effect on how a person learns and behaves later in life.
In South Africa, access to quality ECD is limited to children in townships.
Cell4Change is an EduTech startup on a mission to change that.
Cell4Change is a social enterprise using donated smart and mobile devices to close the education and teacher development gap. Cell4Change uses donated cellphones to provide ECD training to children and teachers in township and rural areas.
Branding is an exchange between an adult and a child’s hand via a cellphone as an illustration of the exchange between teacher and student.
The encompassing circle was to illustrate the continuum of learning that the model is centred on.

Design, development and content focused on two key audiences: supporters of digital inclusion (investors) and project partners.
We wanted the site to be fun, light and to speak to the mission of Cell4change – digital inclusion for pre-school children and teachers.
Content focused on the social enterprise’s mission and the future it envisioned. The potential of its programmes, enticing key audiences to invest or partner with the brand.
